Meeting the Family...

Well, Adrian and I have had the best time this past weekend. Grandpa and Grandma Westbrook called us last week, and wanted to fly us up to Brisbane to spend some time with them.. How blessed are we, that is all I can say..
So friday morning, we had a 4am start and Katie, amazing as she is, took us to the airport.
Well, we arrived safely in Brisbane and Aunty Bronwyn drove us to the Sunshine Coast (about an hour drive). Grandpa and Grandma Westbrook welcomed us with open arms, and we had a great chat, but when it was 10 am both Adrian and I were ready for our first nap for the day...
We then headed out for lunch, and talked some more.. and then went home, talked some more and were ready for our second nap.. haha.. it was soo funny.. but soo good.. I had not had much sleep at all that week, so when Adrian woke me up after about an hour sleep, I could have slept for another couple of hours easily. Oh well.. one thing I can say is that we have talked a lot.. and grandma has told us many many stories....



Adrians parents are on holidays at Rockhampton, where Mama Sue's parents lives. They drove about 6-7 hours to come down and hang out with us, and to come to the engagement party that they had organised for us the next day. So we went to hang out with them, and had afternoon tea.. Nanna and Grandad
We had lots of fun.. and so amazing for me to get to know Adrians grandparents. They are amazing, and we had lots of laughs and great times together.. Adrians parents, Sue and Morris.. They are amazing!!

Oh well.. 8:30pm, Grandpa and grandma went to bed, and an hour later Adrian and I did the same... we brushed our teeth, and could hear how they were praying together and speaking the word of god over each other and their family. They are amazing people, that have lived a really adventurous life and experienced so much.. Adrian and I looked at each other, and agreed that we have much to live up to...

Well, the next day we went shopping, and I found my wedding shoes.. WOHOO... my dress is in process, and shoes are bought... church and venue is booked.. and date is set to May 19th. So please pray with us for BEAUTIFUL may weather so we can show off Norway and Ålesund at its very best next year!

The engagement party started at 3pm, and with POURING Ålesunds rain, we enjoyed the afternoon with the family in uncle Wes and Auntie Bronwyns Garage.

It was awesome. they had decorated and there was so much food..
such a great time, and people had travelled for hours to spend the afternoon with us.. really a big blessing to us...


I had tears in my eyes many times as both of Adrians grandfathers reminded me of my very own farfar and Besten.
