First week of everyday life in Norway...
Well, what can you say to a photo like this.. God is truly magnificent who gave us all this creation to enjoy... I took this shot yesterday morning, just a few meters from our house(which is still kind of empty..) It was an amazing morning and I just had to capture a bit of it...
Well.. it is 1:30 am sunday morning and I am sitting in bed... thought this might be a good time for an update on the past week... it has been a full on week in many ways, with lots of great things happening.. For me it is definately still a transition time, as it is for Adrian... I have started work... at the moment I work 80% and it will become 100% hopefully from next month.. I am working for the same family as I did previous to my 3 years in Aussieland, as an assistant to their 7 year old daughter. It is awesome to be back with them, and the plan is to have her one weekend a month at our house.. we will see how this will work, I am going to have her next saturday, and then we will kind of build from there... she is precious.. and I love to work with her..
ADRIAN IS BACK IN SCHOOL!!! Well... Adrian only had 4 days of holiday in Ålesund, before he got straight back into classes. Every day from 8:15 to 12:30 he is in school learning norwegian. By a mistake they put him in advanced level, which means he ended up with people that have been learning norwegian the past 7 months... he skipped a whole text book.. but his teacher loves him and wants to keep him in the class.. and he is up for the challenge, so we are working our way through the first text book at home, and hopefully we can catch up in not too long.. I have to say he is doing amazing.. and I am so proud of him. It is hard work, jumping straight into pretty difficult grammar... but he is positive and teacheable, though he does have his frustrated moments... dont we all???
Church is going good! WE have only had one service since Adrian arrived... We lead worship together for the sunday service. We only have one weekend service at this point, exept from youth, but it was really great. Mark Wootton, who is our pastor preached a great message, and we had fun, teaching the church Friend of God.. It was a great atmosphere, and about 90 people, so lots of potential and we are encouraged and believe God for a great season ahead...
Other than that, it is snowing in Ålesund, and Adrian LOVES IT!! At school he got in a snow ball fight with the kids going to school in the same building, and had sooo much fun.. he is also taking all the snow off my car every morning.. which I totally appreciate at 7:30 am and it is -3 degrees outside..
Well. anyways. last night we gathered a few friends, and decided to go sleighing or toboging or whatever it is called...we call it AKEBRETT, so I just refer to it as that from now on.. My cousin OJ came up with the brilliant idea to get his dads landcruiser, and he pulled us all with robes after the car to the top of the hills.. it took us about half hour to get to the top... we had to stop many times as we fell off the akebrett... anyways.. Adrian had thetime of his life, and so did the rest of us.. we had a few big crashes, and were close to the cliffs a few times, but it was GREAT!! After we went to my brothers house, and all of us had waffles and hot chocolate, and just had a fun time together...
Except from this, we are just doing life I guess... our days are pretty full with school, work and then when I finish work, we do homework for a few hours.. then it is connect or whatever else is on.. or we do stuff in our house.. or try to plan the wedding.. and Adrian obviously does Church Stuff.. so LOTS to do... not time to get bored....
Just adding some photos too... stay close for more updates soon....

Trine!!
Hey Guys!
So great to read and see how you are going! It is so amazing that you guys are in Norway now! Welcome back to Europe!:-) And Adrian, good luck with your Norwegian studies! I am sure you will be fluent in no time! Just hang in there!:-) It would be great to see you guys sometimes!! Be blessed and keep in touch!
Hugs, Jen :-)
Det er som å lese om oss selv for fem år siden! Chris kom også på et ganske avansert norskkurs og var helt ellevill over snøen!! (Er det fortsatt!) Ikke det at de ikke har snø i England, men ikke i disse mengder. Lykke til videre!!
Hey Trine and Adrian, how cool that you guys are back in Europe...! It's so good to know that you guys are doing great! I am back in the Netherlands, and just finding my groove back into the swing of things on this side of the equator. My sister is planning to move to Norway in March, so I might be in the neighbourhood sometime this year! Well, take care and keep changing the world!! Blessings, Joey
